Direct Admin is an internet-based website control panel designed specifically to allow you to manage the features of your website in an easier manner. It is the fastest control panel available and it features minimum downtime and maximum on-line support.

If you are using, or planning to use Direct Admin, the following tutorial will help you familiarize yourself with its features:

1. Log in to Direct Admin. Logging in to Direct Admin will take you to main Direct Admin screen.

2. Notice the icons located across the top of the Direct Admin screen. There should be 6 icons:
     a. Home
     b. Webmail
     c. Password
     d. Help
     e. Files
     f. Logout

3. Mouse over the Webmail icon. Clicking this icon will take you to your webmail application.

4. Mouse over the Password icon. Clicking this icon will take you to the screen where you can change or reset your account password.

5. Mouse over the Help icon. Clicking this icon will take you to a page that has a complete documentation of instructions on how to use Direct Admin.

6. Mouse over the Files icon. Clicking this icon will take you to your File Manager.

7. Mouse over the Logout icon. Clicking this icon will take you out of Direct Admin once you’ve finished using it. Next, click the Help icon.

8. Click the Editing HTML link.

9. You are taken to the Editing HTML page. This page explains exactly how you can edit HTML pages. It also has additional links that you can click to get more information.

Next, go back to the Help page.

10. Click the Creating E-mail Accounts link.

11. You are taken to the Creating E-mail Accounts page. This page explains exactly how to create an e-mail account without using an external e-mail service provider.

12. Go back to the Help page. The Help page is an excellent reference if you want to know more about Direct Admin and how to use it.

13. Go back to the main Direct Admin screen. To the right, you will see your General Account Information. It displays the following information:
     a. Disk Space (mb)
     b. Bandwidth (gb)
     c. E-mails
     d. FTP Accounts
     e. Databases

Next, scroll down.

14. Click the Server Information link.

15. You are taken to a page that displays detailed information about the server.

Next, scroll down.

16. You will see if all of the services in the server are running properly.
Next, scroll up to the top of the page.

17. Click the Home icon.

18. Click the Installed Perl Modules link.

19. You are taken to a page that displays a list of all the Perl Modules that are installed in the server. You may refer to this page to see if the Perl Module of the script that you need to install is in the server.

Next, scroll down.

20. You will see the other Perl Modules installed in the server. Here, the list is from Apache::URI to Cwd

Next, scroll down to the bottom of the page.

21. You will see the rest of the Perl Modules installed in the server. Here, the list is from XML::SAX::PurePerl::DebugHandler to warnings::register

Next, scroll up to the top of the page.

22. Click the Home icon.

23. You have reached the end of this demo. You should now be more familiar in terms of navigating through Direct Admin. If you need more information, you can always go back to the Help page of Direct Admin.
