Mailing lijst creeëren in Direct Admin

Those who work in the web hosting business know how important it is for them to be able to keep their clients posted and informed on the latest updates. One way to maintain communications is the use of a mailing list. This system makes it easier for a host to be in touch with all of the network’s subscribers.

This tutorial will teach you how to create a mailing list in Direct Admin:

1. Log in to Direct Admin

2. Scroll down your Direct Admin main page until you get to the E-mail Management tool.

3. Click the “Mailing Lists” link found under the E-mail management tool.

4. The link will redirect you to a page where you can find the “Create Mailing List” option.

5. Click the “Create Mailing List” link found at the upper portion of the page. Always keep in mind that you cannot use an email address that is already set up as a POP account, an email forwarder or an auto-responder as an email address.

6. Enter the address that you want to use for your mailing list in the box provided.

7. Once you are done naming your new mailing list, you can now click the “Create” button. You have now created a new mailing list for your account.

8. To manage your newly created mailing list, start by clicking the “view” link found on that same page. This will redirect you to a new page where you can manually add a new subscriber to the digest form of your mailing list.

9. Add a subscriber to the Digest list by typing the email address of the subscriber that you want to add to the list.

10. Once you have finished entering the email address of your new subscriber, click the “Add” button.

11. Your new subscriber has now been added to your digest list. You will see your new subscribers listed under the Digest Subscriber portion of the page.

12. You can also change your mailing lists settings. Start by clicking the “click here” portion of the statement that you can see on top of the form for adding subscribers.

13. The link will redirect you to a page where you can edit the list description, digest settings and subscribe policy, among others. Scroll down the page for you to be familiar with the other options and preferences.

14. Click the “Save” button once you are finished making changes to your mailing list settings.

15. Your list configurations have been saved. Click the “Home” icon to go back your main page.

16. You now know how to manage your mailing list. You are now familiar with tasks such as creating mailing lists and adding subscribers manually.
