FTP or Files Transfer Protocol is the quickest and most common way to exchange or transfer files and data over the internet. Because of your computer system’s constant exposure with the use of FTP, it is always advisable to change all your and your customers’ passwords as often as possible.

The tutorial below will show you how to change a customer’s FTP and Front Page password in Plesk:

1. Login to the Plesk system.

2. Now let us learn how to change a customer’s FTP and Front Page passwords. Scroll the screen down.

3. Start by clicking on the customer’s domain found in the Domain name list.

4. This will lead you to that customer’s Domain page. Now click on the icon that says “Setup”.

5. You will then be taken to the physical hosting setup page for that customer’s domain name. Scroll down again.

6. Enter a new password in the field that says “New FTP Password”.

7. Re-enter this new password in the field that says “Confirm Password”.

8. Once again, scroll down.

9. If the customer’s Front Page support is enabled, then you would be able to change that customer’s Front Page password in the field that says “FrontPage Admin’s Password”. Then scroll the screen down again.

10. Click on the button that says “OK” found at the bottom of the page.

11. That’s it. The customer’s FTP password has already been changed. Click on the link that says “Home” to return to the Main page.
